How Wise statements are structured
Wise statements are multi-currency documents: the account holds balances in several currencies at once, and the statement lists activity currency by currency, each with its own opening balance, transaction list, and closing balance. Every currency section behaves like a small standalone statement, and conversions between currencies appear as a pair of entries — money out of one currency and money into the other. Balances in a given currency can even be negative, and the sign is kept exactly as printed. Descriptions are long by bank standards: international transfers carry sender, recipient, and reference text that regularly wraps across lines. Our engine treats each currency section as its own account block, merges the wrapped transfer descriptions before export, and keeps the currency attached to every row so EUR activity never mixes with USD activity. Each currency is then reconciled independently: the opening balance plus that currency's transactions must equal the closing balance printed for that currency, with no netting across currencies. If one currency fails to tie out, the results page names the currency and the exact difference — nothing is silently forced to balance.
What Wise gives you natively
Wise lets you download activity per currency in CSV or spreadsheet formats for a chosen date range. The official statement document covering all currencies at once is a PDF — converting it here gives you one clean, reconciled output per currency in whichever format you need.
Step by step
- Sign in at wise.com and open your account.
- Go to Statements and reports and choose the statement period.
- Download the full statement as a PDF.
- Upload it here — each currency is split and reconciled separately.

Wise conversion FAQ
My Wise statement covers several currencies. Will they be separated?
Yes. The statement lists activity currency by currency, each with its own opening and closing balance, and we treat each currency as its own account block. Every row keeps its currency attached, and each currency is reconciled independently.
Does Wise offer CSV downloads natively?
Yes, per currency for a chosen date range. What Wise does not give you is the full multi-currency statement as structured data — that document is a PDF. Converting it here produces one clean file per currency, in Excel or QBO as well as CSV.
Do currency conversions appear as one row or two?
Two. A conversion is money out of one currency and money into another, and each side lands in its own currency's transaction list. Both sides are reconciled within their own currency, so the pair never nets across currencies.
Can a balance be negative on a Wise statement?
It can — a currency balance may go negative, for example when fees post to an empty balance. Signs are kept exactly as printed, and reconciliation still requires each currency's opening balance plus activity to equal its printed closing balance.
