How TD statements are structured
TD Bank statements lay activity out in a Daily Account Activity section with subsections for Deposits, Checks Paid, Electronic Withdrawals, and Other Withdrawals, followed by a Daily Balance Summary that lists the balance at the end of each day of the period. Transaction rows carry a date, a description, and a single amount whose direction comes from the subsection it appears in, and check rows print the check number in front of the amount. Our engine assigns debits and credits from those subsection headers, retains check numbers in the exported description, and uses the Daily Balance Summary as a per-day cross-check: the extracted transactions for a given day have to land on the balance TD printed for that day. That makes localization precise — if something is off, we can point at the day and the amount instead of just the statement as a whole. Final reconciliation still runs the full math, beginning balance plus all activity against the printed ending balance, and any discrepancy is flagged on the results page with the exact figure. Nothing is adjusted silently to make the totals tie.
What TD gives you natively
TD Bank lets you download recent activity to CSV, Quicken, or QuickBooks formats, typically limited to recent months. Historical statements are PDF-only, and as of this writing there is no Excel export beyond CSV.

TD conversion FAQ
Does TD Bank let me download CSV directly?
For recent activity, yes — the download option typically covers recent months in CSV and Quicken/QuickBooks formats. Older statements come as PDFs only. Converting those PDFs here gives you CSV, Excel, or QBO for any month on file.
How far back can I get TD Bank statements?
TD Bank generally keeps online statements available for several years as PDFs for most accounts. Every one of them converts here, with reconciliation run against the ending balance printed on the statement.
What is the Daily Balance Summary on my TD statement used for?
TD prints the end-of-day balance for every day of the period, and we use it as a per-day cross-check: each day's extracted transactions must land on the balance TD printed. If anything is off, we can point to the exact day and amount rather than just reporting a statement-level mismatch.
Does it work for TD Bank business accounts?
Yes. TD business statements share the same Daily Account Activity structure with the same subsections. The same sign handling, check-number retention, and day-by-day reconciliation apply.
