How Chime statements are structured

Chime statements are deliberately simple: an account summary up top with beginning balance, totals in and out, and ending balance, followed by one continuous transaction table with a date, a description, and a single signed amount column. There is no checks section at all, since Chime accounts do not use paper checks, and card-purchase and transfer descriptions are short enough that wrapping is rare. Some statements carry partner-bank letterhead — The Bancorp Bank or Stride Bank — which changes nothing about the layout. Our engine reads the summary block to anchor the printed beginning and ending balances, takes each row's sign from the signed amount column, and merges the occasional wrapped description before export. With a single table and no section subtotals to lean on, whole-statement reconciliation carries the verification load: beginning balance plus every extracted transaction must equal the ending balance printed on the statement. If a row is misread, the totals will not tie, and the results page reports the exact difference instead of adjusting anything silently. Chime savings statements follow the same minimal structure and convert the same way.

What Chime gives you natively

As of this writing, Chime does not offer a CSV, Excel, or QBO export — monthly statements are available as PDFs in the app and member portal. Those statements are typically available for recent years of account history.

Chime conversion FAQ

Does Chime offer a CSV download of my transactions?

As of this writing, no — Chime provides monthly statements as PDFs through the app and member portal, without a native CSV, Excel, or QBO export. Upload the PDF here to get any of those three formats.

Why does my Chime statement mention The Bancorp Bank or Stride Bank?

Chime is a financial technology company, and its deposit accounts are held at partner banks whose names can appear in statement headers. That does not affect conversion — the parser reads the table layout, not the letterhead, and reconciliation runs the same way.

I have both Chime Checking and Savings. Can I convert both?

Yes. Download the statement for each account and convert them one at a time. Each statement is reconciled independently against the ending balance printed for that account.

How far back can I get Chime statements?

Chime keeps past monthly statements available in the app and member portal, typically limited to recent years. Any PDF you can download converts here, with reconciliation run against the printed ending balance.
